**Fixes** - How to fix 'No Display' and 'No Audio'

Fixes

Ok here are some fixes to common problems with the Bose.  Obviously I don't guarantee that this will work, but these have been confirmed to work by people other than myself.

If you need help taking apart your bose, well, just use the links above =)

There are currently only a few fixes available:

#1 "CD ERR" Message

Problem: When attempting to insert a CD, the unit display's "CD ERR" and rejects cd's, or does not eject them at all.

Solution: ***See update below*** Repair/replace the bad resistor. Unfortunatly, I don't know exactly which resistor it is.
But, I do know that if you resolder all the resistors on the power board, then you will fix this problem. (worked for me and several others)

Shouldn't take too long, and well worth the effort!

***Update: I received an email from 'Ben' who informed me that when he repaired the connection on resistor R529 (near the metal bracket on one corner) and his "CD ERR" problem was fixed! I would love to get some feedback to see if others find this to be the "CD ERR" solution as well...

#2 Display

Problem: The display does not function at all, or the display only functions intermittently.

Solution: Repair/replace surface mount resistor at location R510 (resistor value of 470 ohms)

Remove this resistor from the circuit board.  Test the resistor with a digital multimeter, if the resistor's value is correct (470) then resolder the resistor back onto the board.

If the resistor is broken or dead, then replace it with a resistor of the same value (470 ohms)

Now feel damn good about yourself, because your Bose display works again!

#3 Audio problems

Problem: Audio is very faint or not on at all.

Solution: Repair/replace surface mount resistor at location R519 (resistor value of 470 ohms)

(just look at the previous pictures, R519 is located to the left)

Note: You can find the value of any of the resistors on this board by reading the number printed on the top of the resistor.
For instance, 471 = 47x10^1 (or 47 with '1' zero)
